Bilcare Research, a leading manufacturer of rigid films, achieves FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification) at its production site in Bötzingen (Germany). FSSC 22000 is an international standard for food safety management, recognized by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) and guarantees an independent certification procedure, as it is based on an ISO standard and not owned by lobbyists.
„With FSSC 22000, which has been successfully completed in March 2018, we respond to the steadily increasing requirements of our international customers on product quality and safety by raising our high standard on hygiene to an even higher level.” says Andreas Pfefferle, Global Business Head PPI. „This is an excellent opportunity to enter into new attractive markets, especially the food supplement market, in addition to our existing markets.”
The Integrated Management System, implemented many years ago by the films specialist Bilcare Research GmbH at its manufacturing site in Bötzingen, is regularly verified by an independent certification body that is currently based on five standards: Quality Management acc. to ISO 9001 and ISO 15378, Environmental Management acc. to ISO 14001 and EMAS, and Food Safety Management acc. to FSSC 22000.
With the achievement of FSSC 22000, Bilcare Research GmbH has reached another milestone and remains a reliable and future-oriented supplier for the pharma and food supplement market.
